We visited Steve's workshop with a good idea of what we wanted. Steve understood what we required and would always confirm each step. However we did change our minds about some ideas and Steve was very patient while we came to a decision. Making our kitchen was always going to be challenging given that it is in part of the house that is 355 years old but Steve was undeterred. We knew he would deliver on time but were amazed that the fitting went so smoothly and was completed in one day. People have admired our kitchen especially the quality of the build. Herringport have enabled us to achieve our dream kitchen.

The build and customized finish quality is outstanding.

Our kitchen design wasn't straightforward by any stretch. Steve patiently worked with us to design and optimise the layout whilst building/extension work was ongoing. All important to ensure electrics and plumbing are in the correct location before kitchen installation.

We needed a kitchen for our barn conversion and wanted something simple and modern but made out of real wood. Steve suggested plywood, and it’s come out beautifully. The painted fronts are smooth and sleek, with inset handles, the drawers absolutely gorgeous in ash with dovetail joints, and the varnished ply inside the cupboards just glows.

It was on time and budget, and fitted perfectly. Unique, hand made, all solid wood and not expensive.

We have had Herringport make kitchens for us for a number of years. Our most recent development site being 7 houses, each with a bespoke handmade kitchen from Steve. The quality of the kitchens are fantastic, we are very happy.

Herringport have just completed a utility room for us. We are absolutely delighted with the result. The standard of carpentry workmanship and paint finish is superb and Steve is easy to work with and finds solutions to tricky areas without compromising on the design or the quality of the finished product. The proportions of the built in cupboards and the wall units match the room size perfectly. We are very thrilled with the finished room.

Have built us a bespoke oak kitchen, tables and beds. They look great and will last us for years.

Steve is really diligent, friendly and hugely knowledgeable about the kitchens and furniture he creates. We started with a few style ideas and a layout. Following a couple of meetings down in the workshop Steve had completely grasped what we were trying to create, pointed us in the right direction where necessary and left us eagerly awaiting our new kitchen. We didn’t have to wait long, despite being a completely bespoke service Steve turns things around in really good time.
That was the first time we visited Steve, two further house moves and two more kitchens, in completely different styles, proves Steve’s capabilities. And our complete satisfaction, no doubt we’ll be back sometime soon.

Steve and Herringport have been making furniture for us for about 4 years after being recommended by a friend. The craftsmanship of the units is superb, from our kitchen that was designed and bespoke made to our newest items to cover the water softener. I ordered my free standing kitchen cupboards from Steve 20 yrs ago. I was so pleased by how good they looked after all this time that I ordered my new Utility cupboards from him . They consist of a tall Pantry unit, housing for my dryer and washings machine and other cupboards. They are painted in Farrow and Ball paint in Bone and are very beautiful and practical.
