How to choose the best Kitchen Designer in Suffolk
If you live in Suffolk and you’re looking for that dream kitchen to finish your ‘forever home’, you’ve most likely been searching the web for the very best in Kitchen design that Suffolk has to offer.
In this blog post, our aim is to show you why a Herringport kitchen would be a great investment for you – giving you the ultimate in quality and luxury at a price that will surprise you.
Who we are…
Herringport Bespoke Kitchens and Furniture are based a few miles from North Suffolk just over the border with Norfolk. Don’t let that put you off though, you won’t need a passport to come and visit us and see our craftsmen at work.
Just call us on 01493 442 115 and we’ll make sure we’re there to show you around. In the past, we specialised in traditional wooden ‘clinker built’ boats – direct descendants of the Viking longboats.
Fibreglass reduced the demand some years ago, so we turned our hand to making beautiful furniture and kitchens, using hand tools and age-old techniques. The result is stunning kitchens and furniture that stand the test of time and function perfectly for generations to come.
Kitchen Design
We have a large selection of kitchen designs to choose from. Our website has a gallery where you can see several ‘finished products’. From that you should be able to see the quality of the kitchens we produce, and choose a design that suite your home.
We make contemporary handmade kitchens in Suffolk which are sleek and stylish, oak country kitchens for a more rustic look without compromising finish and quality, elegant Victorian kitchens for older properties, beautifully simple Shaker kitchens, and more.
We can also incorporate your ideas and designs for a truly bespoke product you’ll be proud to come home to every day. We also manufacture freestanding kitchen units, and can give a perfect spray paint and varnish colour finish to any style of kitchen you choose.
How to find us…
Our postcode is NR31 6PX. Our workshops are on ‘Darby’s Hard’, a historic stretch of quayside in Gorleston, known in the past for its herring fishing. Darby’s Hard, owned in the 1900’s by the Darby family, is where the herring drifters were repaired and laid up for the winter.
Over the years there have been a lot of changes to the riverside, but Darby’s Hard remains comparatively unaltered. When you visit us and stand on Darby’s Hard, you’ll be standing in the exact spot where, many years before, local townspeople would have viewed Lord Nelson’s triumphant return from The Battle of The Nile.
